Albury Entertainment Centre Venue
The Albury Entertainment Centre is Albury’s only professional theatre situated in the heart of the CBD. It is set among landscaped gardens, art gallery, library/museum, restaurants, clubs and the city’s retail heart.
Albury has a great variety of accommodation complemented by excellent coffee shops and cafés all within walking distant from the venue. To add value to touring companies cast and crew, the world renowned Rutherglen wineries are just a 20 minute drive from Albury.
Local audiences are hungry for high quality performances and events and many shows at our Arts Centre regularly sell out. All demographic markets continue to show growth including the early years, youth, seniors markets as well as what we call the “culture vulture”. With a growing population on both sides of the border our audiences are becoming more diverse and able to accommodate an ever expanding range of cultural experiences.
The theatre accommodates 818 people in tiered seating over two levels, providing a warm, intimate atmosphere popular with both performers and audiences.

Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Cent Venue
In 1999 the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre (“BMEC” for short) was built on the basis of the Bathurst War Memorial Hall constructed in 1965. The venue contains a number of different spaces and is in constant use.
The population of Bathurst is approximately 37,000 but we draw an audience from up to four hours away which increases the catchment. Programming is quite broad and includes a Subscription Season, Program for Young People and Families and Local Stages program which aims to develop local professional performing arts practice.
BMEC has a cultural cooperation agreement with the local university and TAFE which adds a particularly valuable dimension to the range of events that are possible. This relationship has led to development of Catapult, a biennial festival of Circus and Physical Theatre which is quickly developing a national and international profile.
